The hero's journey exceeded my expectations

I just finished reading "The Weaver of Odds" and I was so touched by the story, I came back to review it.
Vivian's journey is a true hero's journey, but in a very unconventional sense. By the end of the book, Vivian finds the strength and confidence within herself, by giving strength to those around her. The most transformative experience is what she goes through with her companion, Kaap. Her and Kaap become connected in more than just friendship, love and loyalty, and I loved that the most.
In short, read this book. It's beautiful, dark, soul-searching, and it exceeds all expectations and more.
