Taal’kai

The Thread of All Tongues (aka the Taal’kai) is a synthetic Thread of incalculable value worn by Alarian diplomats (The Lightsome), by monarchs and by members of the aristocracy.It appears on the wearer’s nape as a tribal tattoo and distinguishes itself symbolically from other synthetic Threads by its iconic two arrowheads, narrowly joined at the tip “><”.

The Taal’kai is considered to be one of the most precious mind-enhancers in Alarian culture. It allows one to fluently speak and understand every conceivable language and dialect – past or future – in the observable reality.

When woven into the cervical part of the spinal cord, the Taal’kai creates a lasting connection between the living Thread inside a person and the Pattern of Threads.
